Behind the Bedroom Wall summary and Character

In the book Behind the Bedroom wall, Korinna begins to have feelings towards the Krugman's, but they are not crude feelings anymore they are feelings of hope and love also fear. Why fear? fear because she knows that the getaspo is coming for them. Korinna tries to warn them but luckily they had already left. Towards the end of the book the Jews did not only flee but someone else did too.

The main character Korinna is really into the nazi youth in the beginning of the story, She soon realizes what they really are about when she misses two days of the meeting and when she arrives she gets slapped. Korinna becomes someone totally different from how she started. She now has fear, love, hope for the Jews in her house. In the story she really tries her hardest to take care of them and hide them.

Behind The Bedroom Wall summary and Tough Questions...

In the book Behind The Bedroom Wall, so far the book talks about Korinna and her family hiding Jews. The Jews are mother and daughter, Rachel and Sophie, Sophie is about 5 or 7 years old and her mother is not so old either. In chapter 10 we see that the Nazis invade or search Korinna's home, Why? because the soldiers heard that there were Jews hiding in homes. Her home was the last one they searched in the village. I believe it has something to do with Rita. Korinna's so called "best friend".

A tough question in the story would be that Korinna is still deciding to tell the soldiers or to keep quiet, the problem she is having is if she tells on her parents she will be accused of being a traitor as well because she knew and didn't say anything until a later time. She doesn't want to get her parents in trouble but then she doesn't want to get herself in trouble, she doesn't know what to do.

Upstanders and Bystanders

I believe that many people were bystanders because of how bad Jews got it for just being Jewish. What influenced them to stay shut was the fact that if you even defended a Jew you were considered a traitor or a rebel. I think I would have been a bystander because in the book I am reading it talks about jewish children being mistreated. I personally wouldn't want that for myself or my family. I know it sounds selfish but if it doesn't involve me or people I know, I wouldn't get involved with it.

Plot and Summary of Behind The Bedroom Wall

In the current book I'm reading "Behind The Bedroom Wall', so far Korinna is really committed into the Nazi Youth group. She goes to every meeting or activity. One day she came home to find "mice noises" behind her wall. Out of her curiosity she moved her shelf and found a big hole in her wall. She began to see an image or shape of a human, right away she thought it was a monster, she screamed for her parents. The thing behind the wall wasn't a monster or monster's, they were jews. Now that Korinna knows what her parents are hiding or have been hiding she is deciding to either turn her parents in or not.

The plot or problem in the story is that Korinna finally finds out that her parents have been sheltering Jews. Korinna thinks her parents are traitors because that is what the Nazis are teaching the youth. Korinna is furious because the woman Sophie and her daughter Rachel are the jews that are hiding, Rachel is about 5 or 7 years old. Since Korinna is really committed into her youth group she is deciding to wether tell on her "traitor" parents or to keep quiet as well.

Assessment on Poem And Article...

    • In the Article about Bangladesh, the argument of it  was about the violations and having their workers in danger. I know this because in the article it talked about, 1,127 people died of the collapse of a factory. The owners of the eight story high building built the building in shoddy materials such as brick, standard rods, and not obtaining necessary clearances. Their #3 human right was violated:The right to be safe and free.(Many people were forced with long hours and in a building made to literally collapse.)This issue is a big thing in 3rd world countries. Many workers don't even get paid enough to have a meal. This is sickening to see that we have it all and we are still very ungrateful. Knowing that people would rather work than spend time with their family was surprising because that shows how committed and set that their life is all about work. It was shocking that the bosses were so insensitive about the building conditions. They just didn't care. They wanted the money and they would do anything to get it.
In the poem "Sweatshop" the argument of it was working so much that they really don't have a "life" as many people would say. The workers are so consumed into the job that when they get rest they say its relieving but then the boss comes back and its back to work. These workers are programed in the thought of having their whole life at work. They are like machines the author says. While I was reading this poem it didn't seem so different. They both worked so hard that, that was "their" life. It was different because it was in different locations and different people but they both had a similar situation. I understood the poem as, a person being programed to have to work long hours with nothing to eat, drink and no where to sleep. It really showed me that we the people who live in the United States of America are VERY privileged to have workers rights. We have laws that keep us safe and under unions. We need to step up and help out the people who have no working rights!

The book The Fault In Our Stars is Teen/Romance Fiction. I like that what they are going through in relationship wise many people can relate so their situation. I don't like that there are people who can't relate to it. Like me!!!!!! I wish I could but relationships = DRAMA! I have read this book before genre wise and I will love to read more of these. I really liked how Augustus really cares about Hazel even though they're only friends. Why isn't there more people like that now!!!! They need to come back!!! ;)

Summary of Pretenders

In my book "Pretenders", it has more than one character. There are like 5, in all its is always first person point of view. There's Lily, Duffy, Sheridan, Jagger, and Vanessa. They all have their own story, some are sad and some are not. Like Jagger he is left alone because his parents are in jail for beating up a kid that used to bully another kid (which wasn't any of their business) Either way they are being told that they will have a death sentence. Lilly is pregnant with twins (weird she's only 15) she really doesn't have a role model. Sheridan is the smart one, she is paid when she gets good grades but her parents fight a lot and they act like a normal family when they are out and about in front of others. Duffy is the new kid, he sells clothes to others and is on the basketball team. He is new to public high school in Noble High where the setting is taking place. Like I said before everybody has their own story.

One conflict in this book is Sheridan's parents, they fight so much she is SICK of it! Her way of dealing with it is putting her mind on other things, such as sports and clubs. She focuses on the good things in her life rather than the bad . This shows us that even when we have family problems instead of making the wrong decision we should put our minds to other things and let the rocky road move along.

Do Sports Fans Go To Far???

I read the article named Do Sports Fans Go To Far? It was about different types of fans and what they do that can lead to a situation of life or death. I thought it was informing on how people get upset and start to cry if their team loses, but then there are others who become violent towards the other teams fan. People spend thousand of dollars for a trip to go see a team play, when they can invest their money on something that is useful. The article really showed the different types of people their are. The exaggerated ones and the normal ones.
Its like how church is we have our fan and then our followers. The followers do anything even if its over the top, as long as it for a good reason.
The fans are in the benches with signs but not really doing anything to support the team or group. Being a follower or in the articles case, a crazy fan is VERY dangerous. It can lead to the situation to life or death.

Summary of Pretenders

My amazing book Pretenders is a book that has gossip!!! Its more like a journal I would say. It has so many different characters, it can get overwhelming!! Either way the book talks about teens who have different troubles and most of the problems are in school or within the family. Like one girl she is 15 and is going to have twins! I was so surprised that a young girl is even capably to carry twins let alone deliver them. Of corse she thinks her Boyfriend is going to bet there; sorry to break it to you but he's not. Then it talks about sooooo many other people that aren't really that important.

The point of view of "Pretenders" is really only first person. In the book Duffy writes in his journal and he says "Mandy could get ME a job....But I need money fast." When he says "me" it shows that it is first person perspective. In the book Lily says " While MY hands where on Duffy's body"... She is talking about herself which is also another way of knowing its is written by the perspective of first person.
I enjoy reading a book like this because it really gets into detail when the character is talking about themselves rather than people writing about them. The person themselves know more than someone else.

The Story Of Lemon Brown

In the Lemon Brown story my reactions of him being homeless after him singing in the Blues was shocking!! I thought he would be a wealthy man, but he also was a black man so they had lots of disadvantages. This story connects to what we've been learning because the main character is homeless and we have been studying homelessness. He is struggling with how he lives just as other homeless people do. When Mr.Brown said he had a "treasure" I was surprised because a homeless man can't even afford a house! When greg finally had the chance to hear the elderlies story he began to realize what he had and how fortunate he was to have that. He went home being happy to hear his fathers lecture and knowing he had a stable roof over his head. :)

Insurgent By: Victoria Roth Summary

In my book "Insurgent" Triss is a CRAZY girl!! So far into the book she and Tobias (her boyfriend) over hear Marcus speaking of a plan with Jeanine. The Erudite and Dauntless form one faction because of what happened in the end of Divergent, you should totally read Divergent!! Anyways Tobias and Triss purposely went into the erudite/dauntless compound and where tested under the truth serum. Later in the book they ended up in the faction less faction, that totally contradicts itself but when they arrive they are asked who they are, Tobias says his name and soon is taken to someone that wanted to see him. It was his "dead" mother! He always knew that his mother was alive but had hatred because she never looked for him.

Like I said before Triss is a crazy girl, in the book she always wants to achieve everything. Even when she is hurt she gets up and acts like nothing EVER happened to her. She is also very NOSY! She likes to know what people are saying and why, she got mad at her boyfriend for not telling her what he thought. She can be very controlling! So be careful and don't get mad when you actually read the Divergent Series!

Living For Jesus Beyond The Spiritual High Summary!

In my book " Living For Jesus Beyond The  Spiritual High" by Greg Speck, talks about different topics that Christians will face with the world. Greg explicitly tells you what to do when you are in the situation. Its more of a Guideway than a book. He tells stories about encounters that he had with the situation and tells us how he dealt with it, he also puts in scripture of the Bible to answer our further questions. This book is very interesting and will sweep you of your feet. I encourage you to read it, it will change your way of thought drastically.
